This second floor room has 275 square feet and is home to the rare, twin brass and iron bonnet beds that are original to this room.

Kate Montgomery (1886-1929) shared this room with her sister. She followed her father in becoming a lawyer, one of the early female attorneys. Some of her school books and other family accessories are in the room.

"Thank you so much for a wonderful stay. Your home is so comfortable and inviting that we did not want to leave. We really enjoyed your gracious southern hospitality, the wonderful breakfast, the charm of such a beautiful old house, the comforts of home, and your preservation of history."
"We have had the most enjoyable stay at The Grove. To get a glimpse into the historical past of this grand old mansion, and stay in one of its bedrooms has been a memorable experience and highlight on our trip to the east coast. Your southern hospitality and cooking are unmatched by any other bed and breakfast inns we have stayed in."

"What a wonderful place this is. I was here to work. After a long day, it was nice to feel like coming home rather than going to another hotel. The house is beautiful, my room was extremely comfortable, and both of you were warm and welcoming. Thank you for keeping this interesting historical place alive and well."

"We kept a house full of company. Mother had been raised on a plantation where guests came and went frequently so the constant guests we had never seemed to worry us"Mabel Montgomery
