More Information

The Joinery at The Grove features an old world approach to crafting fine, bench-made period furniture. Located in a barn constructed around a one-room house built in the mid-1800s, most of the tools used here are hand tools. Power tools serve only as a convenient back up. Denley, the head joiner, prefers 18th Century styles, but being at The Grove he has expanded his appreciation to include Victorian.

In the joinery you will see a facinating building, hand tools that built America, wood for furniture and hear the story of a time when every piece of furniture was handmade by someone. You might see an apprentice at work.

If you would like some time in The Joinery taking a lesson, please indicate that when you make a reservation.
